Christmas House

OK ladies! I know I am a bit off showing some holiday items, but now I can relax and here are some holiday things in my house:

The deer was made by my grandmother.

This is one of my Navitiy Scene's, which is sitting on
a old radio.

The wreath was made by my mother in law and given
to us when we first married. Now over 19 years old.
Holding up pretty well. LOL
I made the star a few years ago. Bought a metal one
at Michael's on clearance.

These are  our presents. We had to put them up on the
table because one of the dogs was mad we had left
for the day. So they ripped open a bag.

Our growing santa collection. Some are on the tree,
but we had gotten the Cloftie ones in Vermont before
we moved from a christmas shop we love.

This guy was made with stamps I got at one of the CHA
conferences. So fun to make.

I made her in Vietnam. This is now over
43 years old. WOW!

My mom paints and our ornament we made as kids
was this glass one. She gave me mine about a few years ago.

Since we always make one for the year. I had found this
idea about 7 years ago. My mom and I made a few & gave
them to friends. Alot of work but you can see it was fun.

This guy my mom made when we were younger and she
have me one to keep.

A old friend made this for me and has been a reminder
of good times-not in touch any more.

When we first got married my husbend started to give
me ornaments. This was a series he gave me. Hallmark

We finelly found something to fit on top of the tree. I just found this
at Cracker Barrell. Is he not great???

Another Navitiy but not my first. She was not
taken out this year. My husbend missed a few boxes.

My grandmother painted this and I have a
few more smaller ones. Finally was
able to get some items but had to be after
she passed.

I hope you enjoyed the ride and had a wonderful Christmas. Take care and keep eating the turkey up.

Boxes and Boxes

Merry Christmas to All!
May all have a wonderful day with family and friends. Take care and enjoy the day with the moments.

I made these wonderful boxes for christmas gifts. My inspiration came from Karin at Creative Chaos. She is so talented and after buying a kit from her. I fell in love. I just hope the lucky ladies will love them also.

Some are being saved for birthdays and what not. I could be surrounded by these in a room in all different colors. The dark color is a dark blue. Came out nice.

MERRY CHRISTMAS..

Christmas Crafts

Well you bloggers out there in blog land. I finally got my pictures taken of all the fun things I have been making.

I got so involved in making things for a craft show (my first) that I had not taken many pictures.

It was fun but did not sell much. Not many people came. It was held in a coworkers home. This was her second time doing this and she needs to still twik it some.

Here are some items I have made lately:

Here one of my snowman jars. Added a tree and some mica in the glass. He is getting some twiking also.

Have you seen these on Pinterest?? Well I just had to make these. I did make two and I thought I had the picture but I guess not. A lot of pushing pins in the styrofoam ball. So pretty though. Not so sure about the belt and will be redone. Have other ideas for the belt.

I made the head and then put this one on a reuse sugar bowl.

This was one card I made and then I have in the background a subway plaque I made. I finally got the hang of using Picnik site. Took awhile.

All in all it was a fun craft christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Sorry for not posting

So here I am and cannot believe how long it has been for  blogging. I was involved in my first craft show. Did not do well but went to another and the weather was bad for the next few days. Only did one night but sold some items. It sure can get you thinking your items are not good. Oh well. On to other shows maybe??

I will post some of things I made. I really had fun making them and hope down the road I will try some other items to make for it.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Witch boot and pumpkin hanging....

I had a great time making this hanging for the Halloween season. I got the pattern form Hudson Holiday's on Etsy. She has great patterns. Check her out.

Here is mine I made:

Mine is not as good but I was able to find the flowers. You really do need to buy during the season's for things.

Graphic 45 Magic of Oz subway art plaque....

I so had fallen in love with the Graphic 45 Magic of OZ series. You saw I made another wall hanging but saw the paper with all the words relating to Oz. I thought what could I do and had found the wood plaque at Salvation Army.

We all know that Subway Art has taken over like crazy and I thought why not make my own with these words. No printing, No figuring out what kind of paper to use.

So what do you think. Great idea right? Try it yourself. I do think I am going to add some buttons or something else on the ribbons.

Have a great Saturday.

Graphic 45 Magic of Oz Craft

I so fell in love with this paper. I had found a long board picture at my local Goodwill shop. So I thought the paper would be awesome for this board. The paper pack has the 8x8 sheets with different designs.

I sand the picture off and then painted the board. What was on it before was a paper type so alot of sanding on my part.. EEK!

So here is my last pictures of the wall plaque I made out of the paper. I hope you like it. I painted the sides black and the top purple. That witch paper in purple and green is great.

Mummy Eyes

I finally got my Mummy Eyes made and I so love them. I found these over at Flamingo Toes blog http://www.flamingotoes.com/2010/10/my-famous-eyeballs/.

Do you see my witch candle holder (of course)? Found her at GoodWill. What a deal.

Check her out and make some fun for this year or next year. You not be disappointed.

Go to the Dollar Store and pick up those woffle balls with holes and some white muslin. Print out the eyes and wrap the balls. Then find an area to put your paper eyes inbetween. She put the eyeballs on different but I guess either way-right. They are awesome. Can I say this again...

My DH goes by and says mummy eyes. He loves them. Now I hope the dogs do not decide they need to have some fun. LOL

My BOO eyeball frame,,,,

So I know you have been seeing the Eyeball frames around on blog land??? Well I finally was able to get mine done. I love it. So fun and will have to make one for friends.

I took a $1.00 frame from Michael's and painted it lime green. Sanded it and then hot glued eyeballs on the the frame. At this point I was able to burn myself on a finger. A major blister just by the nail.

I had added some paper to the cardboard insert. I had on hand a chipboard BOO sign. I painted and sanded it some. Then added the black ribbon.

I hope you enjoy????
