Family Easter Card

I first used the Easter Blossom flower set. Scallop frame die and embossed. Kraft cardstock and embossed.  Happy Easter from the same set.

More cards.......

Wedding cards....

I needed to make some wedding cards. I was having some trouble deciding what to do. Many cards on different site but nothing came to mind that I liked. After running walking around the room like a crazy normal women. One of the other ladies had a old SU set. Loved it. Made it. Showing it.

All items are SU. The purple card paper is from a old 6x6 pack they had out.

I also made some Thank you cards for my friends future daughter in law. She loves the purple and is going to do Effil tower theme at her wedding. So what better set to use is the Artistic Etching. Once she has her shower they will be part of her present. Check it out.

This weekend was Embossing folder crazie. I love the folders and have way to many. They sure do make a card special. For the design of this card-I used Sue's idea from the weekend.
I think she will love these.

My SU craft weekend........

I went to my twice a year SU craft weekend and had a wonderful time. I did have to work on some things and wanted to wait till this weekend.

Stayed up late Saturday night and this is not for the faint of heart. I just can not do that anymore and in September I will not do it.

So let me show you my wonderful work (I think):

These were for my hubbies work. I try to make them something for the holidays and was off this last year.

Was told they all loved it. Nice to give to people who enjoy.

I tired it and it worked........

I just had to try this and see if it will work. Well I found out that it worked.

I read on Pintrest an idea to get those grimey and cloudy car lights clean. It said to use good old toothpaste. Can you believe that????? Well I went out today and took a before picture and after to prove it myself.

Now they look so much better. She is a 10 year old car and named Yoda for Toyota.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I am not sure way the top is that color. But what a difference. Messy. I used Crest whiting toothpaste I have in the bathroom. Who would figure that out.

I had a guy one night selling a item to clean the lights for $15.00 a can and he tired it on the light but not even close this look.

Blessings in a Backpack

jI was doing my usally blog hopping and was on Papertrey Ink. I found a blog on "Blessings in a Backpack".

This program gives children who are on Federal free lunch programs to have food on the weekends. They fill a backpack with easy to use food. This is a awesome idea and so easy to give $80.00 for one child to have food for the rest of the year on weekends.

We as America need to stand up and bring America back to what it was when we were growing up. Where did people go wrong in raising there children. We need to have rules and if they do not like it then that is to bad.

Go to your church or scouts group and start a program. They do give a list of schools in areas on this program and if not in your area start one.

God Bless America. Remember this is on our money. Our flag raises high on buildings. We have a wonderful nation and we need to be proud.

I Made: Sweet & Spicy Bacon Chicken

My next recipe I tried out was the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Chicken. This took some work but was worth it. I really like my bacon crisp and I cooked it too long which made the chicken dry. Next time I will cook in the microwave for abit.

My Prep

The Rolling

The cooking

The Done....

Sweet and Spicy Bacon Chicken

4 chicken breasts cut in thirds (12 pieces)

Bacon slices

salt and pepper to taste

garlic powder

chili powder

brown sugar

Cut each breast into 3 pieces, season all the chicken with the spices, then wrap a bacon slice around each piece, roll in brown sugar and place into an oven proof dish....make sure you have some olive oil in the dish too, like 2 or 3 tablespoons is fine {I skipped this since I grilled them. I honestly think you could coat your dish with nonstick cooking spray instead to save a few calories}.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and bacon is nice and brown and crispy. Delicious served with mashed potatoes with some of the gravy from the chicken drizzled on top.

**Also great on the grill! No juices to drizzle on anything, but still delicious!

Remember to check out her site and enjoy.
